LKCMEDICINE FOP: MEDFLIX 2025!

Freshman Orientation Programme (FOP) is organised by the FOP Planning Committee under LKCMedSoc, with participation from Orientation Seniors (Head OGLs, OGLs and FFs) as well as 181 M1 freshmen from the LKCMedicine Class of 2030. For FOP 2025, our objectives were as follows:

1. To introduce freshmen to LKC, including the campus, culture and way of life

2. To provide bonding opportunities for freshmen within their batch and with their senior batch

3. To help with a smooth acclimatisation into LKC
   

FOP was held over 4 days from 20-23 Jul 2025.

Day 1 was held at CSB, and the following activities were conducted: Registration + Opening, OG Icebreakers, House Initiation, Patients’ Journey, Intrahouse Games. Day 2 was a half day programme held at CSB, and the following activities were conducted: Interhouse Games. Day 3 was held at NTU and the following activities were conducted: Mass Games, Escape Rooms. Day 4 was held at CSB and the following activities were conducted: Senior Junior Sharing, Medflix Director’s Cut Games, Finale.

We saw strong, active participation and attendance from seniors and freshmen alike across all 4 days of FOP. The freshmen were able to forge strong bonds with each other within the OG, House and Batch, and also got the chance to bond with their M2 seniors, through various bonding games and activities organised by the FOP Comm.

While running the various activities, we were also able to gather feedback and areas for improvement for games planned from the perspective of the participants - this feedback will be collated and handed over to the incoming FOP Planning Committee to further refine plans for FOP 2026.

All in all, FOP was a successful and memorable event for the Planning Committee, Orientation Seniors and Freshmen. The Committee would like to thank all students, NTU and LKCMedicine staff involved in FOP for their contributions that made this event a success. #fop
