Dear LKC Community,
We are excited to announce that abstract submissions are now open for the LKC Research Symposium 2026, happening on 25 March 2026 at the CSB HQ auditorium.
The Research Symposium is our annual platform for students to showcase their research. It features poster presentations from across the school, with selected projects invited for oral presentations. Attendees typically include students from all years, faculty members, and invited guests, including clinicians from residency programmes.
Submitting an abstract is the first step in the selection process for participation. All accepted abstracts will be presented as posters, and the top submissions will be chosen for oral presentations, with prizes awarded to outstanding presenters.

Abstract Submission Tracks
Please take note of the two categories and their deadlines:
General Track
For research projects not conducted under the Scholarly Project (SP).

Scholarly Project (SP) Track
For SP submissions by M4 students.
Deadline: 11 February 2026

Language: English only.
Word Limit: Maximum 300 words (excluding title/authors/institutional affiliation).

Times New Roman
Size 12
Line spacing: 1.15
Format: Word (.docx) and PDF (.pdf)
Limit use of acronyms and abbreviations (Acronyms and abbreviations may be used in abstract only if they are defined when first used).
Please avoid diagrams, illustrations, graphs, images, tables, references, or graphic in the abstract.
The abstract should include the following:
Title
Lead Author
Co-Author(s)
Corresponding Author(s)
Institutional Affiliation(s)
Introduction (Objective(s) shall be included)
Methods
Results
Discussion
Conclusion and Future Work

All abstracts must be submitted along with written proof of supervisor approval, in the form of:
Signature (with the name of your supervisor and the date), AND
Screenshot of official email/document from supervisor acknowledging your participation in the symposium
Title
Word limit: 20
Please choose a brief title that clearly indicates the content of the abstract.
Please avoid abbreviations or acronyms in the title.
Be sure to use title casing – all words are capitalized except for ‘minor’ words (typically articles, short prepositions, and some conjunctions) unless they are the first or last word of the title.

× General Literature Reviews are not accepted. (Narrative reviews incorporating a formal methodology section are permissible)
D. Author Roles must be assigned for each abstract submission
Lead Author (First Author & Presenter)
Acts as the point of contact for all symposium communications.
Must verify that all co-authors and funding bodies approve the work.
Must be fluent in English and prepared to deliver the presentation (oral or poster) and answer questions.
Senior Author (PI / Supervisor)
Mandatory: Every abstract must list a Senior Author (usually the final author).
Accountability: Guarantees the scientific quality and integrity of the work (plagiarism-free).
Point of Contact: May be contacted by the committee if questions regarding the quality of the work arise.
Abstract selection
Abstract decisions will be announced on 20 February 2026.
You will be notified by email, indicating if your abstract has been accepted to or rejected by the Symposium.
Abstracts are considered for either oral or poster presentation.
If accepted, you will also be notified as to what presentation you have been invited for (Oral Presentation or Poster presentation), based on the decision of the abstract review committee.
Abstracts are considered for either oral or poster presentation.
The presenting author need not be the first author but must be a listed author.
For abstracts selected for oral presentations or poster presentations, up to two authors may present.
