Savepoint

Savepoint (Health Education Camp) is an LCIP that works with Singapore Children’s Society to host an annual health education camp that aims to better the health education of the children and youth from Singapore Children’s Society. Through a one-day camp held in CSB, we make use of medical resources like the anatomy lab to guide the participants in understanding the human body and seeing how physiology and pathology can relate to their daily lives. In 2023, a camp centered on MSK and healthy gymming was hosted, with the participants learning about musculoskeletal anatomy, common gymming injuries and basic first aid. Outside of LKC, Savepoint hosts regular interest group sessions for vulnerable children and youth. The interest groups include:

 

1. Baking and Cooking (Sunbeam Place)

2. Art (Sunbeam Place)

 

Joining as a volunteer for interest group sessions will involve planning and facilitating sessions. A volunteer can expect to work closely with the other volunteers and spend time with the children and youth during such sessions.
