ABOUT US
Project Songkeum has been running programmes devoted to increasing the health literacy of the villagers in Siem Reap, Cambodia since 2015. We distinguish ourselves from other OCIPs through our focus on health education, as well as ventures into vocational training and house visits, contributing to the betterment of the Cambodians' lives.
Songkeum means hope in Khmer! As a team, we hope to serve a cause bigger than ourselves, to the best of our ability and to the fullest of our capacity. We aim to empower locals to make better healthcare decisions by imparting invaluable knowledge. The trip also offers an opportunity to gain deeper insights into the Cambodian healthcare practices, against the backdrop of the Khmer culture.
Objectives of project
The mission of Project Songkeum is to help the Cambodian community build better lives for themselves through health education, health screening and through vocational training.
Activities Conducted
Starting from 2026, we will be working with the Salesian Sisters of St. John Bosco (Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians) to reach out to Siem Reap and Mondulkiri. We aim to help the community through:
Health education
