Project Janan works with Ronald McDonald House
Charities to improve the experience of ill children during
their hospital stay in National University Hospital (NUH)
and Institute of Mental Health (IMH)

ABOUT US
Project Janan, named after the Arabic word for “heart” and “soul,” is dedicated to bringing joy and comfort to young patients during their hospital stay. We work closely with Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) to support children and their families at the National University Hospital (NUH) and the Institute of Mental Health (IMH).
At NUH, we support Ronald McDonald Family Rooms located in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). These rooms offer a space of rest and comfort for families of critically ill children. At IMH, our team engages with children aged 6 to 18 in the Sunrise Wing, which sees over 11,500 outpatient visits and 300 inpatient admissions yearly. Volunteers connect with young patients through interactive activities like storytelling, board games, and arts and crafts.
We also sponsor the Happy Wheels Cart annually at Khoo Teck Puat – National University Children’s Medical Institute (KTP-NUCMI), providing snacks, drinks, and cheer to families during their waiting times. Fundraising and donation drives allow us to keep the cart running for a month each year.
Our mission is simple: to put smiles on little faces and warmth in the hearts of their families. <3
Let me know if you'd like a version with a slightly different tone (e.g. more formal, more playful, etc.).
