Project Bantayan aims to serve the underprivileged communities of Bantayan, an island North of Cebu province. The main aim is to raise health literacy and accessibility on Bantayan Island sustainably.

ABOUT US
Medical Missions
In 2026, we conducted 4 medical missions at barangay level. There were medical consultations, dental, diagnostic and laboratory, pharmacy, research and a unique PCR and chest X-ray station assisted by AI for the detection of tuberculosis. These medical missions are organised in collaboration with local medical students from the Cebu Doctors' University (CDU) and we hope to expand this project further within CDU to make it more sustainable.
Health Education
We also organise health education programs for elementary school students and high school students separately, teaching different topics such as nutrition, sexual health and stress management.
Workshops for Barangay Health Workers (BHWs)
BHWs are the first point of contact for residents seeking medical care, as they manage barangay health stations and conduct household visits to follow up with patients. As such, we hope to upskill the BHWs, allowing them to better serve the residents even when we are not there.
Cebu Doctors' University Exchange
Every January, students from CDU have an exchange trip to Singapore and LKC Medicine. They would tour the NTU campus and CSB and even sit in for a few TBL sessions. CDU students are also involved in the planning and execution of the medical missions for Project Bantayan. On our trip to Cebu in 2026, we also visited the CDU campus and had a tour around CDU Hospital, where we shadowed the M3s on their clinical visits.
