A collaboration between students from LKCMedicine and NUS Medicine among others, aiming to provide underserved rental block residents with access to healthcare.

ABOUT US
The Neighbourhood Health Service (NHS) is a local community health service project involving LKCMedicine and NUS Medicine among other healthcare students, aiming to provide underserved rental block residents with access to healthcare.
1. Centralised Screening - Over 10 screening modalities (vision, dental, hearing etc.) held at a community centre (Toa Payoh for AY2025).
2. Follow-Up Cycle - Residents with atypical screening results will receive intervention within a 3-month cycle. Residents needing closer monitoring receive phone calls or house visits, and are reconnected to formal healthcare institutions or social support organisations.
3. Community Engagement and Health Education Programme (CEHEP) - Through booths at screening sites and door-to-door education during follow-ups, we aim to empower residents and encourage sustained health-seeking behaviours.
4. Research & Development - Our R&D committee has been the backbone of our project with numerous research publications since 2010. We analyse statistics from the health screening to improve the overall efficacy of the health service.
