LKC's Family Medicine SIG was established to help medical students get a better understanding of the roles and demands of family physicians.

ABOUT US
LKC's Family Medicine SIG was established in 2018, with the vision to cultivate greater awareness and interest in Family Medicine within the LKC student body. Since then, our SIG has grown significantly, and we now have close to 400 active members consisting of current students and alumni.
Our SIG plans and hosts various events across the AY. Our Introduction to Family Medicine event is held annually and aims to give students an insight into the many exciting facets of the speciality. We invite distinguished Family Physicians to share more about their careers and the latest developments in the primary care landscape. Additionally, our Family Medicine Residency talk allows students to hear from current Family Medicine residents about their experience as junior physicians in Family Medicine.
Our SIG also creates and delivers social media content related to Family Medicine. On our Instagram page, students can find academic content regarding common conditions, as well as first-hand interviews from various Family Physicians about their experiences. For students seeking research opportunities, the SIG also serves as a bridge between students and researchers from LKCMedicine’s own Singapore Primary Care Research and Knowledge (SPARK) Network.
Join us to get updates on upcoming talks and research opportunities!
