She became one of the first volunteer doctors caring for terminally ill patients at St Joseph’s Home, Singapore, in 1986 and later led the Hospice Care Group (HCG), which became HCA Hospice Care, Singapore's largest home hospice provider. Goh was Head of the Department of Palliative Medicine at the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) and chaired the Asia Pacific Hospice Palliative Care Network.
